Hello friends!!!

Welcome to the first Saturday of April! I’m finally starting to see some plant growth in my small garden at the front of my house, and we’ve started removing some of the bushes in our yard that we didn’t get to last year. The landscaping journey continues.

That being said, I am still reading and while it’s not every single day I am happy to report that I’m reading more than I was last year. That alone brings me quite a lot of joy so I get actually excited to see the numbers at the end of the month! Speaking of which, here are the numbers for March!

As we can see here, in classic me fashion, I have started 2 more series (oops) and finished absolutely none of them. I started The Infinite Pantry series when I read the ARC Tea and Treachery at the Infinite Pantry by Jo Miles. I also did not realize that When Among Crows by Veronica Roth was a series, so there’s that.

On the other side of things, I did not unhaul any books, but I also didn’t directly purchase any books. That being said, I did receive some books from book boxes, but I had prepaid for those books, so I didn’t count them. Do you think I should? Lemme know.

Let’s move on to the picks for April. Once again, I will have a list of potentials, but I will also have a definitive pick for April as well (le gasp). I am using the Buzzword and Cover challenges from BooksandLala (link goes to her YouTube) as a way to generate some options for what to read each month. I find the books that I already own in my TBR that fit the criteria and pick from those. Sometimes I don’t find a book that fits the criteria, and when that happens, I try to see if there is an ARC on NetGalley that I can attempt to apply for that will fit. If that is not possible, then I will not complete that prompt for the month.

Here are the prompts and the options for April!

I’m really excited about the options for April. I did notice that the only accessory I could find on covers was crowns (that classic fantasy cover). I have had many of these books for over a year now, so I’m glad I’m getting into books I’ve had for a while now. I’m also realizing that I’m not sure that I actually want to read some of these books at all anymore. I’m thinking that it might be a good idea to keep a list of the ones that I am unsure of and use those later as a prompt in an attempt to see if I can make space for new books (I am running out…).

Now for the one book I am definitely reading this month!!

I am happy to announce that I am part of the ARC team for Behind the Iron Gate! I’m genuinely excited to read this, and once I finish my current read, it is next on the list, so look forward to the ARC review coming soon!

That’s it for this post! I know these wrap-up posts are usually a bit shorter, but I enjoy creating them, so I hope you enjoy them as well. I do have another book box review on the way, as well as a book review!

Until next time!

Bye friends!!!

I know! It’s going to be so hard to decide which to read when.
