Hello friends!!!

We are back with a new reading wrap-up for November 2025 (where has this year gone). I know I probably should have done my wrap-up last week but I really wanted to get that book subscription box post out (which you can read here if you want, no pressure) and then I had to get that book review out before my brain decided to just wipe it from my memory.

This month was a typical one for me with 2 books completed. If you read the last reading wrap-up , you’ll know that my goal was to work on the three books that I had started but not completed yet. The three books in question were The Devils by Joe Abercrombie, The Housemaid by Freida McFadden and A House with Good Bones by T. Kingfisher. In the end, I only completed one of these books, A House with Good Bones, and then one other book that I got in the mail (this is the life of a mood reader).

Anyways, that’s enough rambling from me, lets look at the stats!

I’ll be honest with you all, as I usually am, but I have no real plan for the month of December. I have a lot going on between Holiday plans, various appointments and just general living as a working adult. I’m not entirely sure how much reading time I will have. Good news, the final F1 race of the season has just happened which frees up some time on the weekends. For those who don’t know, I love F1 and typically I like to watch the whole weekend of events which cuts into my reading time for 20 different weekends from March to December.

So, here’s what I’m thinking. I’m going to just pause The Devils by Joe Abercrombie. I’m really enjoying that book but it’s an epic fantasy and I want to give it my full attention, so that will be paused until next year at least. I would like to pick up and finish The Housemaid by Frieda McFadden. I started it on audiobook but I think I’ll finish it with the physical book, I just need to sort out where I left off in the audio. Finally, I would like to try to read a new book called Seven Deadly Thorns by Amber Hamilton. It’s a new release that has piqued my interest and it doesn’t seem too long and it is Young Adult, so it might be doable.

Synopsis from Goodreads

Deluxe limited edition will include stenciled edges, patterned endpapers, and a designed case cover!

The Cruel Prince meets Powerless in this dark academia romantasy that will tattoo itself onto your heart.

In the cursed Kingdom of Aragoa, the punishment for magic is death.

Even the students at Vandenberghe Academy aren’t spared. When Viola Sinclair’s deadly shadow magic is discovered, the queen gives her assassin a new assignment and a new cursed tattoo: seven-thorned rose on his arm for the seven days he has to hunt Viola down and kill her. If he doesn’t, he will be the one to die.

The assassin is Roze Roquelart–entitled prince, arrogant fellow student, and the one person Viola hates more than anyone. Roze should revel in the chance to end her life, but he desperately needs something from Viola and her magic. And he’s willing to spare her life–and fake their engagement–to get it.

Forced to work together, Viola and Roze must contend with deadly threats, dangerous secrets, and an impossible attraction. Will they give in to their deepest desires, even if it means destroying Aragoa–and risking both their lives?

HER WORST ENEMY. HIS ONLY CHANCE.

Be swept away by the sizzling, irresistible enemies-to-lovers romantasy with magic more destructive than your darkest nightmares.

So that’s it for this go around. I am still working on completing my 2026 reading journal. It’s slow going but progress is being made. I will be back next week with another post. I also am on the hunt for more book blogs to follow and support. If you have any that you really enjoy, please drop a name/link in the comments so I can check them out!

See you all next week!

Bye friends!!!
